Our History

Dr Holder and his wife Raema arrived in Nanoose Bay in 2007.  Like many ‘Nanoosians’, their goal was to achieve a greater work/lifestyle balance and to raise their three children in a natural, rural community.

They purchased their office space on Apollo Drive with a clear vision for a successful family dental practice. Their personal touches to office décor compliment expansive mountain views from most patient work areas – offering a highly relaxing experience in a beautiful, natural environment.

Dr Justin Holder

Dr Holder grew up in Washington State in the south Okanagan valley.  He spent his younger years playing hockey on the ponds, fishing, snowboarding and water-skiing. He is passionate about the outdoors and rock climbing and has spent significant time in the Cascade Mountains.

Dr Holder attended Walla Walla College where he met his future wife and business partner, Raema. He then continued undergrad studies at Pacific Lutheran University near Seattle, and also at Canadian University College in Alberta. Dr Holder attended Loma Linda University in Southern California where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Raema Holder also studied at WWC where she received a BA and became a teacher. After teaching for one year and travelling in Asia with her new husband, Justin Holder, she decided to change careers.  She also attended CUC and LLU, where she graduated from the Dental Hygiene baccalaureate program.

Originally a Vancouver Island girl, Raema grew up in Port Hardy. She spent many summers commercial fishing – she loves the ocean. She is happy raising their three children and appreciates the community in Nanoose.  Everything about Nanoose Bay is home for her.
